Under the supervision of the Manager of Cardiology Services, the Lead Tech is responsible for the department maintenance of the Philips Xclera System, Philips iSite and assists with the management of system menus. Requires extensive clinical working knowledge of Noninvasive procedures and ultrasound systems. The Lead Tech will develop and implement technical competencies, new hire orientation program and ongoing training for technicians. In addition, the Lead Tech will be expected to function and educate staff independently within industry standards. Actively participates in the development and monitoring of departmental QA program/Accreditation process with direction for the Medical Director of Noninvasive Cardiology and the Car
  • A graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science preferred, including but not limited to cardiovascular technology or ultrasound. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in ECG, Stress Testing, Echocardiography.
  • Superuser with Philips Xclera must be achieved within six (6) months of hire
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current credentials as a registered cardiac (RDCS/RCS) ultra-sonographer from the ARDMS or CCI.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.  Must possess basic typing, data entry and computer skills (Microsoft windows and Microsoft office).
  • Self-starter, people-oriented individual able to work in a constantly changing environment.
  • Lead or supervisory experience a plus.
