SCHEDULE:
Primary schedule:11:00am - 7:30pm, Sunday - Thursday.  Requires occasional overtime or hours outside the normally defined workday or workweek. Nights, weekends, and holidays included.
 
REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required
  • Associates degree in culinary arts program preferred
  • 2 years’ of Management experience required
  • 4 years' experience as a Cook in a Senior Living community preferred
  • Proficient in MicroSoft Office 
  • Must have/obtain Servsafe Certificate
  • Successful completion of recognized food safety course
 
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The Kitchen Manager plays an instrumental role in promoting high quality service as it relates to the culinary aspects of life for the residents at Hartsfield Village and helps further our goal of providing excellent care at every level. Ensures residents have a pleasant dining experience by staying organized and meeting all mealtime deadlines, adhering to all quality standards. Supervises kitchen staff and assigns daily tasks and goals, checking that all work has been completed.  
Seeking individuals with strong managerial and leadership skills, a strong sense of responsibility as it relates to the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen area and staff, and a passion for providing excellent customer service to the residents they serve.
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Assist in maintaining and enforcing policies and procedures of all meals of all levels of care
  • Assist in coordinating daily meal preparation adhering to quality standards and established time frames in junction with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef or as directed
  • Assist in ensuring that all mealtime deadlines are met in all levels of care
  • Responsible for making sure all tasks assigned to the cooks and stewards are completed for every shift
  • Assist Executive Chef in maintaining adequate and balanced food inventory
  • Assist in developing appropriate goals and action plans to meet resident expectations
  • Appropriate interaction with cheerful, helpful attitude with residents and guest in dining room
  • Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures
  • Attend/assist with conducting all in-services
  • Cross train in Dining Room Supervisor roll
  • Assist with the evaluations of all cooks and stewards
  • Assist in managing department expenses not to exceed budgetary guidelines
  • Lead and coordinates the staff in deep cleaning and maintenance projects
  • Assist with the scheduling for cooks and stewards
  • Interact with residents to ensure satisfaction in quality, service, and problem resolution.
  • Engage in the Hospitality program and the Core Standards
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
