The Neurodiagnostics Technician is a multi-skilled allied healthcare professional who performs neurodiagnostic testing procedures, which include, but are not limited to electroencephalograms (EEG), evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and transcranial Dopplers (TCD), if appropriate to skill level.  The Neurodiagnostics Technician works under the direct supervision of the departmental supervisor, in accordance with the Administrative Director and the Medical Director.
Requirements:
    \t
  • Successful completion of an Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program and a minimum of one year experience in electroneurodiagnostics.
    \t
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
    \t
  • Perform routine and complex equipment care and maintenance.
    \t
  • Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
    \t
  • Demonstrate effective written and communication skills.
    \t
  • Demonstrate appropriate social skills.
    \t
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze complex situations and apply policy.
    \t
  • Comply with the ASET/AAET Standards of Conduct.
    \t
  • Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings as required by lab standards.
    \t
  • Maintain professional growth and development through continuing education programs, seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations, including self studies to keep abreast of latest trends in Electroneurodiagnostics.
