Summary:
Assists the Medical Providers in providing minor to moderate injury care and physicals to clients in Occupational Health. Oversees medical assistants within the department and when performing off sites services. Identifies workmen compensation clients and coordinates case management with the onsite workman's comp RN case manager, of services utilizing Presley Reed medical disability along with ACOHN guidelines. To assist in making arrangements for procedures within the scope of the carrier's request and notify the designated company representative of the case progression and or delay.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing school required
- Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana required
- Minimum of 2 years of current clinical experience in order to acquire a thorough knowledge of scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, and develop skill in nursing techniques and the ability to adapt to techniques to individual patient needs
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care for all age groups and their family members
- Must maintain current CPR certification
- Organizational skills with focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively
- Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation
- Completes annual skill validation as well as safety and infection control procedures
- Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, family members, physicians, and other hospital
