Managed Care Collector
Performs follow up functions with Insurance Carriers to ensure timely payment from third party payers in accordance with goals established by Patient Financial Services Management.
To qualify, you must have:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED.
  • One year experience in Hospital, Medical or Insurance Office required.
  • Knowledge of Insurance benefits, Coordination of Benefits and Managed Care required.
  • Medical Terminology helpful and familiarity with CPT-4 and ICD-9 codes.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel. 
  • Must be proficient with a  10-key calculator, detail oriented with a good numeric aptitude. 
  • Accurate typing skills of 35 wpm.
  • Ability to demonstrate communication, problem solving and math skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task while working in a collaborative, team environment with a positive attitude. 
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and work under deadlines.
