The DRG Tech performs analysis on the medical record related to DRG denials for clinical documentation, evidenced based criteria application outcome and physician documentation. Formulates and submits letters of appeal.
Position is mostly remote, but need to be available for on-site training. To Qualify You Must Have:- Minimum of Associates degree in Health Information Technology.
- Credentialed as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
- Minimum of 1-year inpatient coding experience.
- Knowledge of accurate DRG techniques and reimbursement systems.
- Excellent communication skills and work professionally with ancillary departments.
- Must have good data management and strong organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team; have self-initiative and detailed oriented while working in a multi-tasked environment.
