The ERP Developer Analyst Position is located in the town of Munster, Indiana which is described as being in the Chicago metropolitan area approximately 30 miles southeast of the Chicago Loop in the North Township of Lake County.  Conveniently located off I-294 / I-94 / I-80 at exit 1, then 1.6 miles South on Calumet Avenue. 
Position Summary:
 
The ERP Developer Analyst reports to the ERP Manager and provides proficiencies on business technology and designs, develop and implement business critical systems solutions utilizing analytical skills and application tools.  Responsibilities include: collaboration with other departments to determine goals and objectives for the ERP system to provide recommendations for achieving goals, troubleshooting and resolving complex production support issues quickly and reporting root cause and resolution, producing appropriate documentation and communications for system fixes and enhancements, creates and runs statistical reports and ad hoc requests for customers, collaborates with the Database Administrator and Systems Administrator, and other responsibilities as assigned.
  
Job Specific:
  • Functions as Systems Developer, Business Anlayst and Technical Liaison
  • Defines System Requirements, conducts fit gap analysis, identifies feasible alternative solutions and defines the scope of modifications
  • Develops ERP solutions utilizing various PeopleSoft programming languages SQL, SQR, PeopleCode and Application Engine and tools in Application Designer
  • Develops reporting solutions utilizing various reporting tools SQR, Crystal and Nvision
  • Uses knowledge of application tables and file structures to identify and solve system issues
  • Develops end user documentation and technical documentation on development and functional knowledge
  • Develops project plans with detailed steps and estimates within project planning software
  • Collaborates with other Information Technology staff to assure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Communicates to Information Technology management on issues impacting performance, project plans and functionality along with recommendations for corrective action and root cause analysis with solution
  • Communicates with Information Technology management and executes system enhancements and business process improvement based on current and future states
  •  Works closely and builds the knowledge of the Junior ERP Developer position(s)


 
 
Education/Experience:
 
•        Bachelor's degree required with emphasis on Enterprise Resource Planning, Systems Design or Information Technology preferred.
 
•         3-5 years minimum PeopleSoft application experience – current version preferred.
 
•         Functional and Technical background in the PeopleSoft application.
 
•         Strong skills in Application Designer, SQL, SQR and related technologies.
 
•         Interaction with Database Management Systems, Operating Systems in operation with ERP systems.
 
•         PeopleSoft development and business analyst experience required with PeopleSoft HCM and/or PeopleSoft Finance and Supply Chain applications.
 
•         Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate with business users.
 
•         Strong organization skills, effective problem solving skills.
 
•         Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
 
•         Agile team member with the ability to learn rapidly and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
