POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager for 6 West and the Infusion Center and according to established practices and procedures, the Infusion Center Generalist will perform scheduling, phlebotomy, and clerical duties for the Infusion Center. Assists nursing personnel in maintaining efficient and effective unit operations by maintaining records, inventories and files related to patient care activities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: - Medical Assistant Certification and/or Phlebotomy experience.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Completes annual skills, safety and infection control procedures validation.
- Must demonstrate ability in communication and problem solving techniques. Strong customer service skills required.
- The clerical aptitude to process and file needed paperwork. Detail oriented to ensure proper labeling of specimens collected and verification of patient identification.
- Spanish speaking, strongly preferred.
