The Behavioral Health Intake Nurse will identify referrals; ensuring that admissions to Behavioral Health Services are appropriate and timely. The Intake Nurse will be responsible for collecting patient mental/medical health data and prioritize request for admissions from a variety of referral sources. The Intake Nurse will collaborate closely with the psychiatrists and Behavioral Health Service’s staff to facilitate timely and efficient placements onto the appropriate behavioral health services unit. This is an afternoon shift position.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau. BSN preferred.
- Successful completion of St. Catherine Hospital Human Resources and Nursing Orientation Programs.
- Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
