In addition to the job requirements noted for the Mental Health Worker III, the Lead Mental Health Worker is responsible for individual and group peer supervision to the Mental Health Workers and serves as a liaison between the Nurse Manager and Director of  Behavioral Health Services with regard to clinical programming, information, and program development.  The Lead Mental Health Worker practices in accordance with current established standards of patient care, the policies and procedure of  Behavioral Health Services, the Community Healthcare System (CHS) policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of the Community Healthcare System.
  • Undergraduate degree in psychology, mental health or related social science field preferred.
    • In lieu of undergraduate degree, associate’s degree and four (4) years’ experience in clinical setting; or six (6) years’ experience in clinical setting with High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience within the psychiatric field required.
  • CPR/BLS certified within first 30 days of employment.
  • Is able to demonstrate knowledge and principles of growth and development for adults 18 through geriatric.
  • Must complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training and certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Successful completion of the Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and BHS Orientation Programs.
