Bonus Incentive Available 
A Professional Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) with a broad knowledge base of cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment who will conduct an over review of cancer treatement received and will deliver an ongoing survivorship care plan in collaboration with the patients’ primary cancer care physician. An oncology nurse navigator (ONN) offers individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers. Using the nursing process, an ONN provides education and resources to facilitate informed decision making a timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum.
  • Licensed Register Nurse in Indiana
  • Strong Oncology knowledge
  • Oncology Certification preferred – ON, AOCN, AOCNS, AOCNP, and CHPON
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience caring for cancer patients
  • BLS Certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent patient assessment skills including assessment of psychosocial issues.
  • Knowledge of self-care resources and strategies
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Basic knowledge of insurance reimbursement systems, financial hardships, and payer overage
  • Working knowledge of national, regional, and community resources
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with members of the healthcare team.
