    LDRP Description:
    The Family Birthing Center at St. Mary Medical Center is a 10 bed LDRP, with 4 additional triage beds.  The unit cares for antepartum, labor and postpartum patients.  We are a Level II Obstetric unit and also a Level II nursery that is equipped to care for infants that are at least 32 weeks gestation and up.  The unit is a family-centered environment that strives to give families the birth that they want in a safe and happy environment.  We are currently in the final phase of obtaining our Baby Friendly Accreditation, which recognizes facilities that offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother/baby care.

    Job Description:  The Staff RN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates.     Requirements:
    •       Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    •       Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
    •       BSN desirable.
    •       Obtains and maintains current CPR certification.
