Location: Munster, IN


Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the System Engineer II is responsible for maintaining and supporting Microsoft Windows and Linux servers. Daily support and administration of servers includes, but is not limited to, installing updates and patches, maintaining and supporting enterprise backups and restores, troubleshooting issues, upgrading hardware, monitoring servers for faults before they occur, ensuring anti-virus software is installed and up to date, as well as providing assistance to other members of the technical team. Also responsible for developing and maintaining domain configurations and identifying issues and recommending corrective actions. Provides support for application issues and offers assistance to application support personnel. Identifies and understands new technologies and recommends them when applicable. The System Engineer II also participates in planned downtimes for system upgrades and maintenance activities as well as an on-call rotation for after hours support.  
To Qualify You Must Have:
 
•        Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Preferered certification Microsoft MCSA or MCSE and/or 2 years of server experience.
  • Preferred certification VMware VCP.
  • Preferred certification Citrix CCA - V.
  • Preferred certification Epic ECSA Hyperspace, or Blob, BCA, and EPS.
  • At least 2 years experience administering Microsoft Exchange, certification preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proven ability to interact with non-technical users at all levels within an organization.
  • Healthcare background desired.
